About the FellowshipThe SSC Graduate Fellows is a one semester appointment that provides guided experience in statistical consulting and data analysis. Students will learn how to consult on applied problems in a variety of different disciplines and will gain considerable experience in all aspects of the consulting role. Students may concentrate on either statistical or mathematical consulting. Students will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience applying statistical methods using data from faculty and researchers across campus. Students will be involved in all aspects of data analysis, from meeting with researchers to discuss the goals and details of their experiments, to analyzing the data and preparing the results. Funding for the SSC Fellows positions has been made possible by the Office of Graduate Studies. Eligibility RequirementsStudents must meet the following requirements to qualify for the Graduate Fellowship Program:
A limited number of Fellows will be accepted each fall semester. Please feel free to apply if you meet the minimum required qualifications listed above. If you are not accepted into the SSC Graduate Fellowship Program this semester, you will be welcome to apply again in future semesters. The letters of recommendation should address the candidate’s research background and quantitative aptitude.
